Job summary

Stratus is seeking a Lead Surveyor – Department Head to oversee surveying projects, manage a team of surveyors and technicians, and ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance. The role includes coordinating fieldwork, analyzing data, and delivering precise land surveys while communicating findings to clients and stakeholders.

The position may be based in Atlanta, with potential to work from other offices, and offers a hybrid work arrangement that supports professional growth and client service

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in surveying, Geomatics, or related field.
• Valid PLS license for Georgia.
• At least 5 years in land surveying with leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage surveying projects from inception to completion.
• Conduct field surveys with advanced equipment.
• Analyze data and prepare reports, maps and legal descriptions.
• Mentor junior surveyors and technicians.
• Coordinate with clients and stakeholders to meet project objectives.
