Job summary

Kleinfelder, a Forbes' Top Employer for Engineers in North America, seeks an experienced land surveyor to join a multidisciplinary team in delivering boundary surveys, subdivision plats, and topographic mapping.

You will use AutoCAD Civil 3D and ArcGIS, work with GPS and terrestrial LIDAR, and contribute to QA/QC while collaborating with engineers and geospatial professionals across a national network.

Qualifications

• High School diploma with related work experience; higher degree preferred.
• 5+ years in land surveying field and office operations; SIT preferred.
• Proficient in survey computations and platting with Civil 3D and ArcGIS.
• Experience in GPS, Terrestrial LIDAR, and conventional survey equipment.
• Ability to operate survey field equipment independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Gather data for surveys from maps, records, photos, and sources.
• Create metes & bounds descriptions, exhibits, and mapping products.
• Develop staking maps for subdivisions and site plans.
• Draft subdivision plats, boundary surveys, and easement plats.
• Conduct courthouse research and explore digital data sources.
• Generate topographic maps including terrain, charts, and notes.
• Review final deliverables and oversee peer QA/QC.
