Halff is seeking a Senior Survey Technician in Richardson, TX to lead complex survey production and serve as a technical resource for the team. The role emphasizes independent judgment, data processing, and QA/QC across boundary and right-of-way projects.

You will work with field crews and engineers to ensure accurate deliverables, prepare legal descriptions and exhibits, and contribute to streamlined workflows. Strong CAD skills and TxDOT experience are highly valued at Halff.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant survey experience with progressively responsible survey production experience.
• Strong knowledge of land surveying principles, practices, terminology, computations, and deliverables.
• Experience preparing survey maps, plats, exhibits, legal descriptions, and other survey deliverables.
• Experience performing survey calculations, data reduction, and COGO.
• Experience supporting boundary and right-of-way survey projects.
• TxDOT experience preparing parcel exhibits/plats, ROW maps, property descriptions, or related ROW deliverables.
• Proficiency with OpenRoads Designer, MicroStation, AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Responsabilités

• Organize and evaluate survey research, including deeds, plats, easements, ROW documents, record surveys, and other records.
• Process, reduce, manage, and review field survey data and observations.
• Perform COGO and other survey calculations to support boundary, ROW topographic, and design projects.
• Prepare and review survey drawings, maps, exhibits, and digital terrain data.
• Prepare legal descriptions and exhibits under the direction of an RPLS.
• Assist the RPLS with boundary analysis and computations.
• Prepare survey reports and supporting documentation.
• Perform TxDOT survey production tasks including parcel plats/exhibits and ROW maps.
• Review survey data for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
