Job summary

Topographic, Inc. seeks a Survey Technician III to perform technically complex land surveying assignments and review maps for accuracy and compliance with applicable laws.

You will convert field data into precise drawings, manage multiple projects, and use Trimble Business Center and AutoCAD to produce ALTA and topographic surveys, subdivision plats, and related exhibits. Strong math, communication, and mentoring skills are required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Surveying required.
• 5+ years of surveying experience.
• Experience with ALTA surveys.
• Ability to read maps and legal descriptions.
• Proficient with field-to-drawn data conversion.

Responsibilities

• Start and complete projects with limited supervision.
• Interact professionally with clients.
• Convert field data into drawings and documents.
• Perform boundary analysis from field data.
• Read client requests and standards to ensure compliance.
• Research records for easements, deeds, and related info.
• Use Trimble Business Center to process data and prepare files for AutoCAD.
• Create survey base drawings from field data and reference maps.
• Produce subdivision maps and ALTA/topographic surveys.
• Prepare legal descriptions and exhibits for rights of way and easements.
• Perform QA/QC on work.
