NV5 seeks an experienced Survey Party Chief to lead a field team in land surveys, boundary determinations, and topographic mapping. You will ensure accurate data collection, run field operations, and maintain equipment for multiple projects.

You will review land records, establish control networks, and prepare survey reports while adhering to safety and regulatory standards. Travel may be required and professional development is encouraged.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience as a Survey Party Chief or similar role.
• Bachelor degree in surveying, geomatics, or related field preferred.
• LSIT or PLS license desirable.

Responsabilités

• Lead and supervise a survey team in the field, ensuring efficient and accurate data collection.
• Assign tasks, provide guidance, and oversee team work.
• Operate and maintain surveying equipment such as total stations, scanners, GPS receivers, and data collectors.
• Perform measurements and data collection for boundary, topographic, bathymetric and construction staking surveys.
• Research land records and establish boundary markers and reference points.
• Set up and maintain control points and traverse networks.
• Ensure safety protocols and compliance with regulations.
• Transfer field data to computer systems and assist in survey reports and maps.
• Maintain and calibrate equipment and perform minor repairs.
• Communicate progress with project managers and clients.
• Maintain detailed field notes and documentation.
• Perform quality control on data and documentation.
• Stay current with surveying technology and pursue continued education.
