Job summary

Mannik Smith Group is seeking a Senior Survey Technician in Boca Raton, FL, to produce CAD deliverables for boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, and construction surveys. You will support land development, commercial and construction projects using Civil 3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads, and TopoDOT.

The role requires experience with survey data processing, legal descriptions, and coordination with field crews to ensure accuracy and project success.

Qualifications

• Experience with ALTA/NSPS standards and boundary/topographic/construction surveys preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of CAD systems (Civil 3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads) and data processing.
• Ability to interpret survey field data and project documents.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with strong organization and time management.
• Detail-oriented, able to work independently and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare CAD drawings and deliverables for boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, construction, and land development surveys.
• Apply surveying and mapping principles to support project documentation and legal descriptions.
• Perform calculations for field crews and assist with data processing and mapping.
• Analyze deeds, plats, and legal documents to support deliverables.
• Use CAD software to process data, create plan sets, and extract linework from point clouds (TopoDOT or similar).
• Collaborate with field crews to ensure data quality and timely project completion.
• Maintain current surveying technology and CAD standards.
