Job summary

Qualifications

• Accredited Surgical Technologist program required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.
• Precept and mentor new staff, supporting orientation and onboarding.
• Handles, labels, and processes surgical specimens for the lab.
• Prepares the operating room with sterile fields and equipment for each case.
• Anticipates the needs of the surgical team by passing instruments and supplies.
• Collaborates with sterile processing to decontaminate and sterilize instruments.
• Adheres to infection prevention and patient safety standards.
• Monitors instruments and supplies to ensure patient safety during procedures.
• Assists nursing staff with patient preparation, transport, and positioning.
