Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System seeks a qualified Surgical Technologist who will plan, implement and evaluate patient care based on assessments. You will monitor and document patient status and communicate changes with the team to optimize outcomes.

Collaborating across disciplines and supervising ancillary staff, you will also precept students and new hires, while assessing education needs for patients and families with sensitivity to age, culture, and condition.

Qualifications

• Accredited Surgical Technologist program completed.
• BLS/ECARD from American Heart Association.
• RN license in Florida required

Responsibilities

• Plans, implements and evaluates patient care based on assessments to optimize outcomes.
• Monitors, documents and communicates patient condition; coordinates with disciplines.
• Delegates patient care to ancillary personnel and may precept students.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient/family and provides education.
