Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology.
• BLS certification required at hire.
• Surgical Technologist Certificate required at hire.
• Knowledge of sterile core area.
• Knowledge of sterile technique; operating room procedures and equipment; dexterity with hands; effective relationships with people; ability to exercise good judgment and discipline.
• Able to follow instruction.

Responsibilities

• Performs scrub role during procedures and coordinates with OR staff.
• Maintains sterile technique and safety throughout operations.
• Assists with room turnovers and instrument processing as needed.
• Participates in pre-operative briefing and time-out processes.
