Job summary

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an OR technician program from an accredited school.
• NBSTSA or NCCT certification as a Surgical Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating room with sterile supplies and physician preference cards.
• Pass instruments, maintain sterile field, and assist during procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique, assist with draping, counts, and specimen handling.
• Assist in turnover of the OR and support staff and students as needed.
• Orient and train new staff and students in OR procedures.
