Qualifications

• Trade school graduate with Surgical Technologist training.
• Licensed Certified Surgical Technologist as required by Virginia VBOM.
• Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited Surgical Technologist program.

Responsibilities

• Pass instruments to the surgeon and maintain the sterile field.
• Prepare the operating room with instruments and equipment.
• Maintain patient safety and ensure the surgical environment is clean and sterile.
• Assist in applying dressings and transferring patients to recovery.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and sterile techniques.
• Serve as a role model and demonstrate advanced aseptic techniques.
