Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Senior Surgical Technician in California to support the surgical team before, during, and after procedures. You will assist with instrument handling, patient positioning, and ensuring sterility and readiness of all equipment.

The role includes coordinating with nurses and surgeons, supervising junior technicians, and contributing to patient safety goals. The position is onsite in South San Francisco with evening shifts and a pay range of $53.56–$57.75 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of current acute Operating Room experience.
• High School Diploma/GED required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise other Surgical Technicians; coordinate and train staff.
• Prepare OR, organize instruments, ensure sterility and readiness.
• Assist with patient positioning, scrubbing, gowning and gloving.
• Hand instruments to surgeon and count sponges and instruments.
• Maintain patient safety and clean operating room; sterilize equipment.

Basic Life Support

Surgical Technologist Certification (preferred)
