Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum one year acute Operating Room experience within the past three years or graduation from an approved surgical technician program within the past year.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Must be willing to work in a Labor Management Partnership environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment in good working order, inspecting and testing at least weekly.
• Assist with setup, use, and allocation of equipment for procedures.
• Ensure sterility, cleanliness, and functionality of instruments prior to cases.
• Assist surgeons during operations by handing instruments and supplies.
• Washes and sterilizes equipment and helps prepare case carts.
