Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years of demonstrated surgical technologist experience in an acute care facility.
• Successful completion of an accredited course in surgical technology.
• BLS Required.
• Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English, and understanding of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and stock the OR before and after surgery, by gathering and organizing clean and sterile supplies.
• Set sterile instrument fields; maintain and monitor aseptic techniques.
• Assist with orientation of new staff and participate on departmental committees.
