Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Surgical Tech to support direct patient care in the Operating Room. You will prepare and stock the OR, gather sterile supplies, and maintain aseptic technique while assisting staff across shifts.

Two years of surgical technologist experience is preferred, with greater experience considered for Sr. Surgical Tech roles. The position requires flexibility to float between UCI Health locations and work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Two years of demonstrated surgical technologist experience in multiple specialties in an acute care facility.
• Completion of an accredited course in surgical technology.
• Must float between UCI Health locations as needed.
• Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Reading, writing and speaking English clearly and understanding medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Assist with direct patient care activities in the Operating Room.
• Prepare and stock the OR before and after surgery.
• Gather clean and sterile supplies and set sterile instrument fields.
• Maintain aseptic techniques and participate on departmental committees.
