Job summary

UCI Health in Irvine, CA is seeking a Sr. Surgical Tech to assist with direct patient care during procedures and to ensure a safe operating room environment. You will prepare and stock the OR before and after surgery, gather clean and sterile supplies, and maintain aseptic technique throughout procedures.

In addition, you will help orient new staff and participate on departmental committees. Applicants with less than two years of experience may be considered as Surgical Tech (8931) with a pay

Qualifications

• Two years of demonstrated surgical technologist experience in an acute care facility.
• Successful completion of an accredited course in surgical technology.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with direct patient care during medical procedures and ensure patient safety.
• Prepare and stock the OR before and after surgery, gathering sterile supplies.
• Set sterile instrument fields and maintain aseptic technique.
• Assist with orientation of new staff and participate on departmental committees.
