Job summary

Brookwood Baptist Health Hospital in Homewood seeks a Surgical Tech III to support the Main OR with sterile technique across multiple specialty procedures. This is a full-time Day shift position with flexibility for 8- or 10-hour shifts.

The role requires maintaining an orderly surgical field, rapid instrument passing, counts, and collaboration with surgeons and RNs. Education includes a Surgical Technology training program; BLS certification; four years CST experience or two years substitution.

Qualifications

• Education/Training required: Surgical Technology training program or Orlando Health training program.
• Experience: Four (4) year surgical tech experience; CST plus two years may substitute for the required experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an orderly surgical field and pass instruments quickly to the surgeon.
• Anticipate and prioritize needs during procedures.
• Conduct sponge, needle and instrument counts as dictated by the procedure.
• Assist in stocking and ordering specialty supplies as directed.
