Baptist Health Brookwood Hospital is seeking a Surgical Tech III for a part-time day shift in the Main Operating Room. The role requires strong sterile technique, operation of specialty instruments, and the ability to support multiple tertiary specialties throughout procedures.

The candidate should be a high school graduate with Surgical Technology training and current BLS certification, with at least four years’ CST experience (or 2 years with substitution).

Qualifikationen

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Successful completion of Surgical Technology training program; or Orlando Health training program.
• Maintains current BLS/HealthCare Provider certification.

Aufgaben

• Maintain an orderly surgical field and pass instruments and supplies quickly and efficiently to the surgeon.
• Anticipate and prioritize needs for each procedure.
• Count sponges, needles and instruments as dictated by the procedure.
• Maintain surgical specimens for pathology evaluation.
• Assist in ordering and stocking specialty supplies under management guidance.
• Serve as a technical expert for at least one tertiary specialty.
• Provide scrub services for major procedures in at least two surgical specialties.
• Precept perioperative personnel rotating through scrub roles.
• Collaborate with surgeons to address case needs in scrub or second circulator roles.
