The Medical University of South Carolina seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist II to join the OR team. You will prepare sterile supplies and equipment and support direct patient care during surgical procedures.

Under Nurse Manager supervision, you will follow established procedural guides and work autonomously as part of a high‑performing surgical unit. Minimum two years' OR experience and CST credential required; BLS current is mandatory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program.
• Minimum of two years' work experience in an operating room setting.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required (formerly LCC-ST).
• Current BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross) required.

Responsabilités

• Prepare sterile supplies and equipment for surgical procedures.
• Perform appropriate room duties involved with direct patient care.
• Follow established procedural guidelines and work autonomously as part of the OR team.
• Demonstrate knowledge and care appropriate to patients' developmental level and family needs.
