Keck Medicine of USC in Los Angeles seeks a Surgical Tech II for 12-hour rotating shifts in a fast-paced operating room. Under RN guidance, you will assist the surgical team, maintain aseptic technique, and prepare instruments for complex head, neck, neuro, spine, and orthopedic cases.

This non-exempt, full-time role requires graduation from a CAAHEP program, CST certification, BLS, and recent practice. You will participate in equipment selection, patient transport, and OR setup, with

Competenze

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a CAAHEP accredited Surgical Technician Program.
• One year of experience as a Surgical Technician or as a Surgical Technician intern (paid) at Keck Medicine of USC.
• Active practice as a Surgical Technician within the six (6) months prior to application.
• Organizational/time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Surgical Technologist CST certification (CAAHEP or ABHES).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification.
• Fire Life Safety Training (LA City). If no card at hire, obtain within 30 days and maintain renewal.

Mansioni

• Assists the surgical team and maintains aseptic technique.
• Prepares, sterilizes, and cleans surgical equipment and instruments.
• Transports patients, equipment, supplies, and specimens.
• Prepares operating room and updates preference cards.
• Performs scrub role and passes instruments.
• Mentors and may lead other surgical technicians.
• Participates in decision-making regarding equipment and supplies.
• Performs all duties as assigned.
