HonorHealth Mesa Gastro Clinic seeks a SR Scheduler-Surgical to be the first contact for patients and coordinate scheduling of surgeries and high-level procedures. You will gather patient data, verify insurance, and support preoperative education and class scheduling.

Your role includes coordinating with physicians, anesthesia, and operating rooms, ensuring accurate charging and timely communication with patients and staff to maintain smooth workflow.

Qualifikationen

• Associate's Degree in related healthcare field.
• Medical terminology with OR/central supply - Preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED - Required.
• 1 year of healthcare scheduling/clerical experience with ICD10 and CPT coding.
• 2+ years scheduling experience in healthcare preferred.
• Other operating room experience preferred.
• Data entry/data management experience preferred.
• May require completion of medical terminology class within 6 months of hire.

Aufgaben

• Schedule surgeries and high-level procedures per physician privileges and block times.
• Verify charges and ensure accurate billing within hospital guidelines.
• Register patients and collect demographic, medical, and financial data.
• Coordinate preoperative classes, education, and testing.
• Obtain signatures for authorization and financial responsibility.
• Run daily reports for management needs.
