Job summary

City of Hope in California seeks an experienced clinic-based RN to support breast surgery patients across oncology and related specialties. You will coordinate care, explain treatment plans, monitor labs, and arrange transfusions in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Candidate should have 3–5 years of experience, a CA RN license, BLS, and national certification with chemotherapy/biotherapy certification as applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or master’s degree in nursing.
• Three to five years related experience.
• Current California Registered Nurse license.
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• National certification (must obtain within three years and maintain).
• Chemotherapy/biotherapy certification if applicable to site.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care for complex breast surgery patients in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
• Explain treatment plans, monitor labs, and arrange transfusions as needed.
• Triage patient needs and follow up on orders with physicians and APPs.
• Provide cross-coverage and manage in-basket messages to ensure timely care.
