Job summary

ISG is seeking a Civil Engineer to join the Surface Water group on rural projects in the Water Business Unit. You will design stormwater systems, perform hydrologic analyses, and coordinate with environmental studies from concept to construction.

The role requires PE licensure, 5–10 years in surface water, and willingness to travel to multiple ISG office locations. Collaborative ownership and mentorship are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/environmental engineering or bioproducts and bio-systems engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure, required.
• Experience in managing projects within the surface water industry, such as stormwater management master plans, flood control/analysis, FEMA CLOMR/LOMR, streambank stabilization or restoration, and rural drainage.
• 5-10 years of experience in Surface Water industry.
• Ability to travel to various job sites and ISG office locations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement stormwater management plans and reports.
• Design and oversee construction of stormwater infrastructure (retention basins, swales, drainage).
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses using modeling software.
• Coordinate with environmental studies, permitting, and technical deliverables.
• Provide QA/QC for drawings and documents using AutoCAD Civil3D and ESRI ArcGIS.
