Job summary

Epsilon Systems Solutions, Inc. in Norfolk, VA seeks a Type Desk Assistant III to support surface force Type Desk Officer oversight, budgeting, and planning for ship maintenance availability.

Qualifications

• Ten years' shipboard engineering and maintenance experience (military, civil service or contractor).
• Five years ship design, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and testing HM&E systems.
• Five years within last five years of ship maintenance availability planning and execution of industrial work.
• Familiarity with US Navy structures and commands.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Strong customer focus and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and time management.
• Professional demeanor and ability to work with all levels.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Monitor maintenance planning and reporting per JFMM and CNSL directives.
• Coordinate with offices and managers to analyze availability and budget.
• Analyze requirements vs budget and schedules; prioritize for TDO.
• Determine proper funding and screen work items for availability.
• Review projects with PEs, AWPMs to confirm funding.
• Coordinate with TDAs, TDOs, PMs for financial trends and reports.
• Develop deferral or descoping recommendations for backlog.
• Review BCAs and adjudication recommendations.
• Coordinate funding requests and verify accuracy; report status.
