Job summary

Epsilon Systems Solutions, Inc. in Portsmouth, VA seeks a full-time Project Manager I to serve as the onsite project primary point-of-contact, with full authority over scheduling, risk management and coordination of ship repair activities.

The role covers planning, estimating, staffing, and directing production for assigned projects, with travel to remote/out-of-state locations as needed, and requires ability to obtain access to US military/government installations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/equivalent.
• Five years’ experience associated with ship maintenance, modernization, construction and repair.
• Five years’ managerial or supervisory experience in projects involving tank and void pumping & cleaning.
• Current security clearance (SECRET) or the ability to obtain one. Pursuant to the various government contractual requirements, all applicants must be U.S. Citizens.

Responsibilities

• Assists with the Planning, estimating, negotiating, staffing, managing, work execution, and reconciles final billings on assigned projects.
• Meets or exceeds customers’ realistic expectations for quality, productivity and safety on projects, and works with the customer to facilitate any changes in project scope and cost.
• Represents the company fairly and consistently when interacting with customers.
• Interprets specifications, plans project sequencing and coordinates the various phases of the project to prevent delays and avoid rework.
• Writes timely and accurate documentation of each job and contributes accordingly to final written specifications.
• Plans, coordinates and directs production activities for assigned projects.
