Job summary

Franklin Fitch is seeking a Senior IT Support Engineer / IT Manager to own the US office technology, onsite in New York. This hands-on role supports senior stakeholders, manages projects, vendors and day-to-day IT operations.

You’ll lead Microsoft 365 and Windows environments, coordinate external partners, support onboarding and office moves, and work directly with senior leadership to shape the IT function.

Qualifications

A growing international legal services organisation is looking for a Senior IT Support Engineer to become one of the first technology hires supporting its expanding US operation. This is a hands on role with plenty of ownership. You’ll be the primary IT contact for the US office, supporting senior stakeholders while also taking responsibility for projects, vendors, office technology and the wider day to day IT environment.

What You’ll Do

• Act as the primary IT contact for the US office, providing responsive and high quality support to users at all levels.
• Deliver white glove IT support to legal professionals, senior stakeholders and executives.
• Take ownership of office technology projects, including relocations, new office setups, cabling, connectivity and technology fit outs.
• Work closely with senior leadership to understand business requirements and ensure technology supports the wider organisation.
• Manage and support Microsoft 365, Windows and end user environments.
• Coordinate relationships with third party technology vendors and service providers.
• Support onboarding, hardware deployment and the technology requirements of a growing US operation.
• Act as an escalation point for more complex technical issues and provide hands on troubleshooting where required.

What You’ll Need

• Strong experience in IT support, desktop engineering or systems support.
• Experience supporting professional services, legal or similarly high touch environments.
• Previous experience working within a law firm, legal services organisation or MSP supporting legal clients.
• Familiarity with legal applications, document management and practice management systems.
• Strong Microsoft 365 and Windows experience, with knowledge of endpoint management.
• Experience coordinating vendors, suppliers and external technology partners.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence working directly with senior stakeholders.
• Comfortable taking ownership of projects while remaining hands on with technical support.
• A proactive approach and the ability to work independently in a growing environment.
