Job summary

La-Z-Boy Incorporated seeks an experienced Inventory Planner to coordinate data and BOM integrity for Dayton branch plants. You will ensure accurate inventory levels by leading audits, reporting, and problem-solving across manufactured and purchased materials.

Responsibilities include maintaining planning data in e1, supervising the materials team, forecasting, and coordinating with Purchasing to meet vendor and plant requirements. Strong leadership and ERP experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree with 4-6 years of experience in inventory systems management, or equivalent preferred.
• 1-3 years of supervisory/leadership experience in inventory system management.
• Knowledge of MRP, lean supply techniques, and material handling equipment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive process improvements.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Just-in-Time (JIT) tools.
• Ability to communicate and work with various levels of management and team members.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain planning data in e1 for manufactured and purchased materials.
• Oversee materials team members using e1 reports to input data and place orders.
• Monitor and update style forecasts.
• Coordinate, research, plan, and place orders for engineering changes and new styles.
• Report discrepancies in BOM for investigation and corrections.
• Maintain inventory levels for Dayton Service Center via forecasting and transactions.
• Investigate shortages and reconcile negative on-hand balances.
• Execute e1 transactions: cycle counts, transfers, issuing material.
• Ensure accuracy of inventory levels through auditing and problem-solving.
