Job summary

La-Z-Boy Incorporated seeks a Warehouse Supervisor to lead, motivate, train and support the warehouse team, ensuring efficient shipping, receiving, storage, and distribution while safeguarding inventory.

The role requires supervising operations, scheduling inbound/outbound arrivals, inspecting progress, enforcing policies, training staff, and conducting evaluations, while maintaining safety and cleanliness; some unloading/loading and minor furniture repairs may be necessary.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 4-6 years of relevant experience.
• 1-3 years of supervisory / leadership experience.
• Understanding of safe receiving, storing, requisitions, shipping and delivery.
• Basic knowledge of inventory procedures.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Travel up to 5%.

Responsibilities

• Supervises general warehouse operations and employees.
• Scheduling of inbound and outbound arrivals.
• Maintains a constant dock presence inspecting work in progress.
• Applies and enforces all policy and procedures.
• Maximizes productivity of personnel by proper training and supervision.
• Hires, trains, coaches and performs official evaluations for warehouse personnel.
• Maintains safety, security, and cleanliness throughout the facility and property.
• Unloading, Loading, Deluxing and minor furniture repairs as needed
• Performs every duty in the warehouse as needed to ensure objectives and goals are met.
