Job summary

La-Z-Boy Incorporated in Dayton, OH is seeking a seasoned Inventory Planning Supervisor to coordinate data and BOM integrity for purchased and manufactured parts across Dayton plants. You will oversee cycle counts, ERP data, and forecasting to maintain optimal inventory levels and timely production.

You will lead a team of 5–10, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate with Purchasing, Engineering, and R&D to implement changes while ensuring accuracy and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Associate degree with 4-6 years in inventory systems management or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of supervisory/leadership experience in inventory management.
• Experience with Windows, MS Office, and JD Edwards or similar system.
• Knowledge of MRP, lean techniques, and material handling equipment.
• Ability to communicate with management and teams; professional demeanor.
• Continuous improvement mindset and ability to drive change.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain planning data within e1 for materials and supply centers.
• Oversee team members using e1 reports to input data, transactions, and orders.
• Monitor and update style forecasts and coordinate changes with production.
• Coordinate and place orders to support engineering changes between production, R&D, and purchasing.
• Report discrepancies in BOMs for investigation and corrections.
• Collaborate with Purchasing to meet vendor and plant requirements.
• Establish inventory levels for Dayton Service Center via forecasting and transactions.
• Investigate shortages and reconcile negative on-hand balances.
• Execute e1 transactions including cycle counts, transfers, and month-end postings.
• Lead audits, reporting, and problem-solving to ensure inventory accuracy.
