Job summary

Canopy USA is seeking a Supply Chain/Production Planner to serve as the planning hub between Demand Planning, Procurement, and Operations. You will translate forecasts into a feasible Master Production Schedule and material requirements, providing decision-ready outputs to leadership.

You will lead capacity and materials planning, identify risks, and support cross-functional cadence (S&OP, MPS reviews) while aligning with regulatory requirements across states.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; fields include business management, operations, plant science or related.
• Minimum 5 years progressive leadership in cannabis/CPG production or regulated industry, with 3+ years in senior supervisory role.
• Proven track record in leading teams and achieving goals in fast-paced, compliant environments.
• Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with accountability.
• Experience with production/inventory management software and relevant seed-to-sale systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Master Production Schedule (MPS) aligned with demand forecasts and constraints.
• Translate demand plans into feasible production plans and communicate outputs to leadership.
• Review MPS with senior leaders to assess risks and adherence to plan.
• Evaluate capacity, labor, and sequencing; escalate issues with recommendations.
• Prepare scenarios and trade-off analyses for cross-functional planning cadence (S&OP, MPS reviews).
• Convert MPS into material requirements for procurement and centralize across states.
• Provide forward-looking visibility to procurement for sourcing decisions."
• Maintain planning parameters (lead times, safety stock, reorder triggers) and seek approval.
• Assist ERP setup, data integrity, and continuous improvement of planning outputs.
• Communicate material availability risks and options to planning, procurement, and operations.
• Develop inventory views to support decision-making and manage exposure, aging, and working capital.
