Job summary

ELECTRONICS MANUFACTURER is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to oversee inventory, purchasing procedures, determine supply needs, and supervise receiving across multiple manufacturing sites. You will ensure collaboration among staff focused on purchasing, materials management and configuration management.

The role requires leadership of a Buyers team, development of metrics, maintaining inventory levels, driving turnovers, and negotiating with suppliers to improve quality, delivery, and cost

Qualifications

• The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree and at least five years of directly related experience in contract manufacturing.
• Prior supervisory experience and strong people management skills are required.
• Significant experience with inventory control, logistics, materials requirement planning, supply chains, contract negotiations, and purchasing.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory and purchasing procedures across multiple sites.
• Determine supply needs and supervise receiving processes.
• Coach and develop a team of Buyers and related staff.
• Maintain optimal on-hand inventory and drive increased turnover.
• Negotiate with suppliers and manage supplier relationships.
• Provide data/metrics to support continuous improvement and decision making.
