Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Management Consultant to lead Supply Chain and Logistics optimization for diverse clients in Randburg, Gauteng. You will analyze networks, design improvements, and drive cost reductions with data-driven insights to deliver measurable ROI.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field.
A Master's degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., APICS) is a strong advantage.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics consulting, or operations management roles.
Proven track record in optimizing supply chain processes, reducing costs, and improving efficiency.
Strong understanding of supply chain principles, including inventory management, network design, procurement, and logistics.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
Superior communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
Ability to manage complex projects and cross-functional teams effectively.
Proficiency in supply chain software and analytical tools (e.g., SAP APO, Oracle SCM, JDA, Excel).
This role requires on-site presence at our client's offices in Randburg, Gauteng, with potential for travel to client locations.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments of client supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, warehousing, and distribution.
Develop and implement strategies to optimize supply chain performance, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.
Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Design and implement inventory management strategies to balance stock levels and meet demand efficiently.
Optimize logistics networks, transportation routes, and warehouse operations for maximum efficiency.
Lead projects focused on implementing new supply chain technologies and systems.
Manage relationships with suppliers and logistics providers to ensure effective collaboration and performance.
Develop business cases for supply chain investments and improvements, demonstrating ROI.
Facilitate workshops and training sessions for client teams on supply chain best practices.
