Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Group is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to oversee direct material supply, planning, procurement, and trade compliance. You will drive inventory accuracy, reduce costs, and lead continuous improvement initiatives across the materials function.

The role requires leadership of Buyer/Planners, policy management, and collaboration with Profit Center Managers to meet annual objectives and KPI targets. Strong Lean and ERP experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
• 5–7 years of supply management experience in a high-volume factory environment with proven negotiation skills.
• Advanced knowledge of procurement and inventory principles, theories and processes.
• Experience dealing with supply chain issues like material shortages, quality issues and pricing in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor a professional team of buyers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ERP systems; knowledge of JDE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide functional direction, coaching, and process guidance to Buyer/Planners in support of planning, purchasing, inventory accuracy, supplier follow-up, shortage management, and material availability.
• Provide functional leadership to Buyer/Planners and Profit Center Managers to ensure consistent materials management processes and continuous improvement.
• Manage policies related to procurement of goods and services.
• Establish yearly strategic objectives and support production departments in achieving goals.
• Oversee material management goals: throughput, shortages, inventory accuracy; implement plans to reach targets.
• Maintain KPIs and monitor performance; drive lean transformation across the supply chain.
• Oversee Kanban program with external and internal supply base.
• Maintain privacy and confidentiality, protect assets, ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with suppliers to build strong business relationships and drive improvements.
