Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration.
• 3–4 years of total experience in two or more areas: customer service, international supply chain operations, transportation management, project management, planning.
• Strong organizational, follow up, and analytical skills with urgency and ability to resolve problems and produce results.
• Strong project management skills with knowledge of supply chain processes and market requirements.
• Team player able to work in a global environment with external supply chain customers.
• Negotiation and conflict resolution skills for timely and cost-effective solutions to issues impacting the supply chain.
• Knowledge of MRP/DRP and planning systems.
• Ability to analyze data using reports and Microsoft tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage the shipment of product from manufacturing and distribution locations in the Americas to Abbott affiliates and direct Abbott customers worldwide.
• Allocate product to ensure maximum container utilization and minimize transportation costs.
• Ensure prompt, accurate and efficient handling of communications concerning shipments and any other relevant aspect of the business.
• Monitor KPIs, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to improve performance.
• Maintain the master arrivals schedule to meet market demand and safety stock targets.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency.
• Lead cross-functional project teams.
• Maintain customer and shipping requirements including system parameters, policies, and procedures.
• Provide training support to customer service specialists and affiliates on supply chain processes, procedures, and systems.
• Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external supply chain partners.
• Act as customer representative in Abbott supply chain.
• Understand the logistics role in Abbott supply chain and distribute product cost-effectively.
• Resolve day-to-day customer service issues and lead supply chain improvements.
• Lead new business integration activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
