Job summary

RTX in Massachusetts is seeking a Principal Specialist, Program Cost Controls within the OSC Finance organization to support the Naval Power SBU and NSS SSBU. The role focuses on cost control, EAC development, and variance analysis to help meet financial targets.

You will work with the Program Office and MPM to provide weekly cost runs, forecasts, and cost reduction leadership in a hybrid on-site/remote environment.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent with 5+ years experience; or an Advanced Degree with 3+ years.
• Experience in cost allocation details across bases, organizations or products.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office tools.
• Experience in production or schedule-driven environment in a profit-driven business.

Responsibilities

• Support the creation of Estimates at Complete (EACs) on a quarterly basis including costs, risks and opportunities.
• Provide cost, schedule and funding planning, reporting, monitoring, and analysis support to GSCM leaders and management.
• Prepare program financial forecasts, monitor actual costs, and explain variances to plans and forecasts.
• Manage cost accumulation methods for material on weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
• Provide cost reduction project support and leadership based on manufacturing and functional expertise.
