Newport News Shipbuilding, A Division of HII, is seeking a supplier quality oversight professional to audit QMS and manufacturing processes for mechanical commodities such as pumps and machinery. The role coordinates non-conformances with procurement and engineering to define part ordering requirements.

The candidate must hold a ABET-accredited engineering degree, possess 5 years of exempt experience, be a US citizen, and be capable of obtaining a DoD security clearance.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• 5 years of relevant exempt experience.
• Candidates must be US citizens and capable of obtaining a DOD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform supplier quality oversight for mechanical commodities, auditing quality management systems and manufacturing processes.
• Coordinate the resolution of material non-conformances.
• Collaborate with procurement and engineering to define part ordering requirements.
