HII in Newport News, VA is seeking an engineer to provide hands-on waterfront and manufacturing support for reactor and propulsion plant systems, analyzing specifications and drawings to drive issue resolution.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program, strong analytical and communication skills, and a willingness to collaborate with quality, material, manufacturing and subcontractor teams. MS Office experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on waterfront and manufacturing engineering support for construction and final assembly of reactor and propulsion plant supporting systems.
Analyze engineering specifications and drawings, investigate production and equipment issues, and coordinate with quality, material, manufacturing, and subcontractor teams to resolve technical problems.
