Job summary

Applied Materials is seeking an experienced Supplier Engineer (E4) to lead supplier quality, technical development, and operational excellence across machining and contract manufacturing suppliers. You will influence supplier capabilities, resolve complex technical issues, and ensure supply chain readiness for new and existing products, partnering with Engineering and Global Supply Chain teams.

The role requires strong technical leadership, project management, and ability to drive results

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 7+ years in Supplier Engineering, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, or related roles.
• Experience with machining, fabrication, and contract manufacturing suppliers.
• Knowledge of GD&T, drawings, and manufacturing process documentation.
• Proven ability to lead corrective actions and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier quality improvement initiatives and supplier performance plans.
• Interface with machining and contract manufacturing suppliers on performance.
• Lead 8D, DMAIC, RCCA problem-solving to resolve issues.
• Conduct supplier assessments, audits, and process evaluations.
• Develop PFMEAs, control plans, and quality-system compliance.
• Drive cross-functional projects to improve supplier performance and readiness.
