Job summary

Applied Materials is seeking a Supplier Engineer IV to lead supplier quality and operational excellence across machining and contract manufacturing partners. You will collaborate with Engineering, Global Supply Chain, and Manufacturing to improve quality, delivery, and cost while mitigating risk for new and existing products.

The role requires strong technical leadership, experience with PFMEA, Control Plans, GD&T, and multiple cross-functional projects.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in Supplier Engineering or related field.
Experience with machining, fabrication, or contract manufacturing suppliers.
Knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawings.
Proven track record leading supplier corrective actions and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Lead supplier quality improvements across machining and contract manufacturers.
Interface with suppliers and internal teams to drive performance improvements.
Lead 8D, DMAIC, RCCA problem-solving for defects.
Assess supplier capabilities, PFMEAs, Control Plans, and first article inspections.
Drive supplier readiness for new product introductions and risk mitigation.
Develop supplier performance dashboards for executive reviews.
