Applied Materials, Inc. in Massachusetts seeks a Supplier Engineer to evaluate technical requirements for new and existing products and to recommend materials to Design Engineering, enabling cost savings and shorter lead times.

You will lead supplier audits, coach suppliers, and work with New Product Development to ensure manufacturability and clear specifications, driving continuous improvement and competitive advantages in cost and performance.

Formación

• Structured problem solving experience in supplier engineering contexts.
• Up to 4 years of supplier engineering experience desired.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluates technical requirements of new and existing products.
• Applies knowledge of qualified sources and products to recommend materials to Design Engineering, enabling cost savings and lead time reductions.
• Collaborate with New Product Development to ensure clear engineering drawing requirements and aligned supplier expectations.
• Participate with New Product Introduction to promote design for manufacturability with suppliers.
• Lead supplier audits and evaluate supplier performance to drive continuous improvement.
• Train other supplier engineers on audit and evaluation processes.
• Lead quality problem resolutions and root cause/corrective action.
• Identify and drive broad systemic supplier resolutions at the process level.
• Assist in cost planning by monitoring key cost drivers and supply markets.
