Job summary
DDN is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to provide dedicated quality engineering support for our manufacturing and component supplier base. You will collaborate across Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, NPI, Test and Supply Chain to improve supplier performance and prevent quality escapes.
You will focus on our primary manufacturing partner and key platform products while supporting broader supplier quality activities and driving corrective-action programs with data-driven root-cause
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Quality, Quality Engineering, or related role.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and drive supplier quality performance, defect trends, and quality issues.
- Lead supplier corrective-action activities, including 8D/SCAR review, root-cause validation, containment, and corrective-action implementation.
- Conduct supplier/process audits (risk-based and issue-driven).
- Investigate manufacturing and field failures with supplier Quality and Engineering teams.
- Support supplier NPI, FAI, qualification, production ramp, and manufacturing-readiness activities.
- Evaluate manufacturing, inspection, and test processes to drive defect prevention.
