Job summary

The Lycoming Engines division is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to lead quality assurance across supplier networks, drive continuous improvement and ensure AS9100 and FAA regulatory compliance.

The role requires Six Sigma expertise, Lean, SPC, and Value Stream Mapping, with strong analysis, teamwork, and communication to optimize product quality and processes from concept to delivery. Travel up to 75% is expected and onsite work is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related Aeronautical field.
• Minimum of five years of experience in Manufacturing/Assembly Operations, Quality, Engineering, or Procurement.
• AS9100 knowledge and FAA regulatory requirements experience.
• Six Sigma and/or PPAP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality protocols to ensure AS9100 and FAA compliance.
• Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions for non-conformances.
• Perform internal audits to verify regulatory compliance and identify improvements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to maintain quality across the product lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain quality documentation, plans, and reports.
• Utilize Lean, SPC, and Value Stream Mapping to optimize processes.
• Provide training and support on quality standards and best practices.
• Lead improvement projects and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
