Textron Systems: Lycoming Engines in Williamsport, PA is seeking a Sr. Quality Engineer to oversee QA, implement QC measures, and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing and assembly.

The ideal candidate will have Six Sigma, AS9100 and FAA regulatory knowledge, plus experience with Lean, SPC, and Value Stream Mapping to optimize processes and ensure product quality throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum of five years’ experience in Manufacturing/Assembly Operations, Quality, Engineering, and/or Procurement.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of AS9100 standards and FAA regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, SPC, and Value Stream Mapping.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Reliability Engineer, and/or Certified Quality Auditor certification preferred.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Familiarity with manufacturing statistical methods, including process capability, Gage R&R, probability, and statistical inference.

Responsabilités

• Develops, implements, and maintains quality assurance protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with AS9100 standards and FAA regulatory requirements.
• Conducts root cause analysis and implements corrective and preventive actions to address non-conformances and improve product quality.
• Performs internal audits and supports third party audits (ex. AS9100) to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and supply chain, to ensure quality standards are met throughout the product lifecycle.
• Develops and maintains quality documentation, including inspection plans, control plans, and quality reports.
• Utilizes advanced quality tools such as Lean Manufacturing, SPC, and Value Stream Mapping to optimize processes and improve efficiency.
• Provides training and support to team members on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
• Monitors and analyzes quality performance metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
• Supports new product development and introduction processes to ensure quality requirements are met from concept to production.
• Leads and participates in improvement projects and initiatives.
