Job summary

Viasat is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality professional to drive supplier improvements and establish key partnerships across strategic sourcing, supply chain, NPI and design engineering. You will audit suppliers, develop underperforming suppliers, and lead company-wide quality initiatives to improve processes and systems.

The role requires strong data-driven problem solving, collaboration across functions, and experience with AS9100/ISO 9001 quality systems.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in a Supplier Quality Role
10+ years of experience in quality engineering or continuous improvement roles
Knowledge of statistics and statistical process control
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and procedures
Experience with ISO-9001/AS-9100 Standards or similar
Autonomy and ability to work independently
Engineering Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Up to ~40% travel domestically and internationally

Responsibilities

Audit suppliers to onboard and surveil to mitigate issues.
Lead supplier improvements with commodity strategy and improvement.
Drive company-wide quality initiatives to standardize processes.
Mentor quality engineers in auditing practices and supplier quality.
Collaborate with Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain, NPI and Design Engineering to improve supplier processes.
Communicate findings and recommendations with data-driven solutions.
