Job summary

GE Aerospace seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer for Polymer Matrix Composites to lead supplier quality improvement on complex challenges. You will drive quality standards, support RCCA efforts, and coordinate corrective actions with customers while partnering across GE Aerospace to deliver robust, scalable results.

The role requires a strong quality engineering background in composites, supplier audits, and data-driven problem solving, with travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Material Science or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years quality engineering or composites manufacturing experience.
• Demonstrated experience with composites materials.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Aerospace industry experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversight and responsibility for supplier processes & product conformity, from initial qualification, maintenance, and necessary improvements.
• Lead supplier root cause and corrective actions to reduce defects.
• Influence the development of strategy for the area of responsibility.
• Interpret business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes, or services.
• Use high level judgement to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems.
• Lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity.
• Communicate difficult concepts and influence others' options on topics.
• Travel 25% to 50% depending on business needs.
