Job summary

Toyota North America’s PSD Accessories, Logistics, and Planning group is seeking an Engineer with a strong data analytics mindset to lead accessory product development and supplier engagement at Toyota Headquarters in Plano, TX.

You will deploy the PSD New Model Development procedures, optimize design for manufacturability, and drive projects across cross-functional teams. Travel up to 50% is required to support multiple programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or similar technical field.
• 4+ years of equivalent professional experience in Automotive Manufacturing/Engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in Manufacturing, Quality or Engineering developing one or more of the following commodities/products: Interior, Exterior, Electrical/Electronic, Chassis.
• 2+ years in Manufacturing, Quality or Engineering with processes such as molding, plastics joining, complex assembly, paint/coatings, electronics soldering, casting, machining, stamping, welding, or related.
• Experience reading drawings/prints and basic GD&T.
• Experience with data analysis and communicating insights to management (Excel, Power BI, Power Automate).
• Willingness to travel up to 50% peak; average 25–30%.

Responsibilities

• Leads development of Accessory products, processes and suppliers.
• Deploys the PSD New Model Development Operational Procedure and apply rigorous analytical thinking for manufacturability.
• Support outsourced supply base development to ensure best cost, quality and manufacturability.
• Maintain and communicate part status information for KPI visualization.
• Lead supplier partner teams in problem solving and risk mitigation using Toyota practices.
• Develop project schedules to achieve objectives and KPIs.
