Job summary

Redwire Space Enterprises in Goleta, CA seeks a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to assure supplier capabilities and product conformance for high‑reliability aerospace hardware. You will partner with quality and procurement to drive issue resolution and supplier development.

You will review specifications, conduct assessments and audits, apply QA requirements, and lead CAPAs while maintaining strong supplier relationships for successful mission deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or STEM with 5–7 years in supplier quality (aerospace/space preferred) or 8+ years related experience.
• Strong knowledge of supplier QA methodologies and practice.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100 and related standards.
• Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings including GD&T.
• Proficiency in MS Office and data-driven reporting.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% to supplier sites.

Responsibilities

• Support supplier quality assurance processes and ensure compliance with QMS procedures.
• Review engineering specs to determine supplier selection and qualifications.
• Conduct supplier assessments, audits, and performance reviews.
• Apply quality clauses during PO review and approval.
• Perform supplier source inspections and pre-shipment reviews.
• Investigate supplier-related issues and drive root cause/CAPA actions.
• Lead corrective actions and verify effectiveness with suppliers.
• Provide supplier development support based on metrics and trends.
• Communicate performance data to cross-functional teams.
