Job summary

You will drive supplier assessments, audits, and corrective actions while supporting development and continuous improvement across the quality and procurement teams.

The role emphasizes data-driven reporting, cross‑functional collaboration with engineering and program teams, and adherence to ITAR and export controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Management, or STEM with 5–7 years of supplier quality engineering experience (aerospace/space preferred) or 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of supplier quality assurance methodologies and practices.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, and related quality standards.
• Demonstrated experience in root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, including GD&T.
• Proficiency with quality management systems and supporting software tools.
• Fluent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to travel up to 25% to supplier sites (local and out-of-state).
• US Citizen or US Person under ITAR requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support supplier quality assurance processes and maintain compliance with Quality Management System procedures.
• Review engineering specifications to help determine proper supplier selection.
• Conduct supplier assessments, audits, performance reviews, and periodic re-certification activities.
• Apply quality clauses and requirements during PO review and approval.
• Perform supplier source inspections and pre‑shipment reviews for product conformity.
• Investigate supplier-related issues and collaborate with suppliers to resolve problems.
• Process supplier nonconformances through MRB processes and issue corrective action requests.
• Follow up with suppliers to confirm corrective action implementation and effectiveness.
• Provide supplier development support based on performance metrics.
• Prepare and communicate data-driven reports on supplier performance and quality.
