Job summary

RTX in Andover, MA is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead supplier-related issue resolution onsite. You will analyze non-conformances, drive root-cause and corrective actions, and ensure proper communication with suppliers and internal teams.

Candidates must have a BS in a technical field and 5+ years in quality engineering, with ability to obtain a DoD security clearance. Prior DoD/AS9100 experience is preferred, and work is on-site at the facility.

Qualifications

• BS in STEM or technical field with 5+ years of quality engineering experience.
• Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action processes.
• Experience with hardware inspection techniques and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead rapid resolution of supplier-caused issues impacting the factory with cross-functional teams.
• Analyze material non-conformance data and develop action plans addressing top and systemic drivers.
• Investigate issues with supplied material ensuring robust root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Communicate supplied part issues to suppliers and stakeholders.
• Assist with quarantine, containment and screening of suspect defective supplied hardware.
