Job summary

RTX is seeking a Quality Engineer in Andover, MA to lead rapid resolution of supplier-caused issues, perform root-cause analyses, and ensure corrective actions are implemented. The role requires a STEM degree and five years of quality engineering experience, plus the ability to obtain DoD clearance. U.S.

citizenship is mandatory. The candidate will work with cross-functional teams, apply LEAN/Six Sigma concepts, and use SAP/PRISM and Microsoft tools to improve supplier quality and process

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor of Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or other technical field of study, and five (5) years related Quality Engineering experience.
• Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action processes.
• Experience with hardware inspection techniques and interpreting engineering drawings.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Utilize analytical capabilities and communications skills to lead rapid resolution of supplier caused issues impacting the factory, working with other quality functions and cross-functional teams.
• Analyze supplied material non-conformance data and develop action plans to address top and systemic drivers.
• Investigate issues with supplied material ensuring accuracy of nonconformances, robust root-cause analysis, and corrective solutions are fully implemented.
• Communicate supplied part issues impacting the factory to suppliers and stakeholders.
• Assist with quarantine, containment and screening of suspect defective supplied hardware.
